WEATHERED WELL (Apollo) AMB 3929 (1994) - nine new tracks. Although having previous releases, he= is probably better known for his engineering and remix work with ambient= guitar group Seefeel. Both "Lust" and "Tamed" from "Weathered Well" were= also released on the "Skysplit" EP (RS93031) on R & S. He is currently= signed to Apollo Records, but has been working with other collaboraters= under the name Autocreation on the Orb's InterModolabel." - CiM=20 >mrk...listening to nico, thankyouverymuch! Locust singles finally seeing daylight, LOCUST - No One In The World pt. 1 cds / 12" (apollo) $9.25 cd / $8.00 12" Armand Van Helden on the mix giving this oldie a whole new lease of life. Both these singles feature mixes that will not appear anywhere else and are a one off pressing. Part 1 features the Mack Mogoloid mix as well as the Killer Bees mix. Mack mix is a huge hard houser in the style originally piooneered by this mega selling artist which uses an almost "Fly Life" styled big-ass trumpet. Killer Bees mix is a little more on the speed garage tip but boy does it work. LOCUST - No One In The World pt. 2 cds / 12" (apollo) $9.25 cd / $8.00 12" Second of the two singles this week and this one features some absolutely dynamite mixes from Slacker. Already garnering a few single of the week awards this one is well worth it. Highlight is the otherwise unavailable "Instrumental mix" which is a dreamy floor orientated floater that keeps laying down layers of changes before reaching a huge climax. The master mix keeps the Karen Carpenter styled vocal with some dreamy bell effects thrown in for good luck.
